Revisiting Bath U.K

Revisiting the historical place of Bath England. It's beautiful Georgian buildings made of local yellow marble stones, and not to mention the famous Roman Bath, a quick visit in Jane Austen Centre. Stroll along the lovely Pulteney Bridge which is one of the most photograph bridge.
Pulteney Bridge

After the long walk along these beautiful places, it's time for dinner. We went to Chimichanga a Mexican Restaurant, it's a short walk to the Bluecoat House it has a modern interior. The menu offers an extensive traditional Mexican food from tortillas, wraps to grills. We started the evening with a pitcher of delicious fruit base wine Sangria. For the mains I settled for traditional Mountain Burger in tortilla wrap ( instead of bun) with salad on the side. The burger was yummy it's totally different from having burger in bun. My friend Ching ordered Fajita wrap steak and she keep on saying its delicious. The staff are friendly and the service is good. After the sumptuous meal we merrily went back to our hotel.
Day two, After exploring the historic bath, we decided to go and have a lunch at Thai Mai. A nice restaurant along the south parade street. As we went in, we were greeted with a smile. The place is lovely decorated with wooden carvings. As we were not that hungry we just ordered for or mains. My friend Ching ordered Pad thai beef and I ordered Khao na ped, a slices of roast duck with homemade sauce on top of a plain boiled rice. It was delicious and well presented . We enjoyed our experience, the staff was nice and the service is quick.

The Parrot Bar and Grill is lovely and a cozy place .The night starts well with a champagne cocktail. For starter I have ordered chillie king prawn it was well presented with salad on the side , the sauce was abit oily but it's olive oil (so I guess it's healthy ) for the main course, it was Termidor Lobster its delicious creamy sauce and cook to perfection came with deep fried fat chips and salad ( I will come back for more or I might try their Steaks which they are famous for ) I was still feeling greedy so indulge myself to a chocolate brownies ( a girl couldnt refuse a chocolate dessert ) To sum it all up, good food, friendly staff it was a good night.

Pub with a view in Tirley

A Pub with a view. It's a lovely sunny day went for a pub meal in Tirley The Hawbridge Inn. A beautiful pub set in by a riverside what a lovely view of Severn River. We have chosen to sat by the fireplace. Nice comfy sofa it's so cozy the cottage feel with the dark beams it feels so homely. They are famous with their Gourmet Burger so I decided to order the NewYork Burger it's a Prime Beef with 2 slices of swiss cheese, bacon, onion rings, BBQ sauce, lettuce & tomato. It was well presented it came in an olive wooden board with homemade coleslaw and big fat chips the Burger itself was massive. The first bite was delish it was tender and juicy it's one of the best burger I have ever tasted, went down well with my favourite rosé. A sumptuous meal I would say . Friendly staff and a wifi is a bonus . What a delightful afternoon just watching the river flows so calmly with cold cider on hand. For sure i will be coming back again in this place.

Revisiting Nailsworth

Revisiting Nailsworth just a short drive from Cheltenham situated on the edge of the River Frome. The Egypt Mill Restsurant has very stylish Art Deco, steel works everywhere and the center of attention it's steel wheel mill just by the entrance. It takes you back from its glory days, this thoughtfully restored corn mill, with its scenic riverside location. I first visited Egypt Mill when we had an early dinner. I went for a safe choice Deep-Fried Haddock in Crispy Beer Batter served with Gastro Chunky Chips,Garden Peas and Tartare Sauce. It was yummy indeed. The food was great and the garden view was spectacular under the parasol enjoying the river sound and a tiny waterfall feature in a sunny afternoon it was lovely indeed.

This time around went there for a proper evening meal. We settle for a cider drink while waiting for our table, we decided to go to the garden terrace. It was drizzling but the terrace was equiped with steel cast iron wooden fireplace. It was nice and cozy, what a way to enjoy a nice and cold pear cider.

After 30 minutes waiting we went inside just in time our table was ready. The menu has a delightful aray of food choices. For starter we ordered Garlic bread and Nachos topped with sourcream, tomato salsa and melted cheese, was abit disappointed there's no jalapeño in it but other wise it's ok. Main meal was Dou of pork which is fillet of pork with sage and bacon, slow roasted belly pork, smoke bacon medley in red wine jus served with pea and cheddar mash. The pork fillet was delicious and the roast belly pork was so tender the only thing missing was the crackling, to total it all it was a delectable dinner meal with a nice view and good company. What a lovely evening.

For the starter I ordered Marinades Jerk Chicken Roti which is a pieces of Jerk Chicken with Peppers and Onions in hot spicy Jamaican Jerk Sauce and wrapped in a warm Chakki Roti Bread. For main course I've choose Curry Goat a traditional Caribbean dish pieces of Goats leg and shoulder, some still on the bone, has been seasoned with a special blend of Caribbean curry spices and slowly cooked in the dutch pot until rich and tender, served with Sauteed Mixed Vegetables and Rice & Peas. For dessert homemade treacle tart with rich vanilla ice cream. Washed away with lovely Pinot Grigio Rosé and Lanson champagne . It's was a scrumptious meal and nice catch up with the girls.

Philippine Holiday with Russ

It was a blissful holiday in the Philippines with Russ. It was arranged for a month vacation to visit my family and to stroll around my hometown  Vigan City....Stroll along the Vigan Heritage Plaza during night and day was fun , Russ was very impress with the preserved structural building of the spanish houses... Nice to just sit at the plaza and watch the day passed by or a ride in a tricycle or Caleza (horse drawn carriage).
We went to different beaches in Ilocos to Pagudpud... lovely white beaches sun bathing swimming or just laze around reading book by the beach was not a bad option. Every day family occassion with the Casica & Retreta Clan; Russ also had his birthday in Vigan with a big celebration, Russ was amazed with the whole  hog roast ( tradition in every special occassion ) hmmmmm was lovely cracklings and yummy...

Whole Hog Roast

We were stranded in the Philippines due to volcanic ash .... but saying that we have enjoyed the 2 weeks extension of our holiday... we went to boracay one of the picturesque island in the Philippines ... deep blue sea, white sand and cool water sports facilities...... i have enjoyed snorkeling, a ride with the glass bottom boat ( nemo boat) marine walk( helmet dive) had a chance to feed the fishes and it was a fantastic experience...... Russ had a chance to go scuba diving; and i think that it would be my list of  adventure next time we will go on a beach holiday...........It was wonderful and very relax feeling as we sit close together holding hands as we watching the sunset, then head off to a beach bar to have a nice cocktail  just before a sumptous dinner to choose from seafood, indian cuisine, mexican, italian, steak house... and after dinner go for a nice long walk till we reached the hotel and collapse in each others arms for a cuddle till we drift off to sleep and waking up with a bright sunrise with a smile with each others face to welcome a brand new day of laziness (lol).
