The Parrot Bar and Grill is lovely and a cozy place .The night starts well with a champagne cocktail. For starter I have ordered chillie king prawn it was well presented with salad on the side , the sauce was abit oily but it's olive oil (so I guess it's healthy ) for the main course, it was Termidor Lobster its delicious creamy sauce and cook to perfection came with deep fried fat chips and salad ( I will come back for more or I might try their Steaks which they are famous for ) I was still feeling greedy so indulge myself to a chocolate brownies ( a girl couldnt refuse a chocolate dessert ) To sum it all up, good food, friendly staff it was a good night.

Pub with a view in Tirley
A Pub with a view. It's a lovely sunny day went for a pub meal in Tirley The Hawbridge Inn. A beautiful pub set in by a riverside what a lovely view of Severn River. We have chosen to sat by the fireplace. Nice comfy sofa it's so cozy the cottage feel with the dark beams it feels so homely. They are famous with their Gourmet Burger so I decided to order the NewYork Burger it's a Prime Beef with 2 slices of swiss cheese, bacon, onion rings, BBQ sauce, lettuce & tomato. It was well presented it came in an olive wooden board with homemade coleslaw and big fat chips the Burger itself was massive. The first bite was delish it was tender and juicy it's one of the best burger I have ever tasted, went down well with my favourite rosé. A sumptuous meal I would say . Friendly staff and a wifi is a bonus . What a delightful afternoon just watching the river flows so calmly with cold cider on hand. For sure i will be coming back again in this place.
Revisiting Nailsworth
Revisiting Nailsworth just a short drive from Cheltenham situated on the edge of the River Frome. The Egypt Mill Restsurant has very stylish Art Deco, steel works everywhere and the center of attention it's steel wheel mill just by the entrance. It takes you back from its glory days, this thoughtfully restored corn mill, with its scenic riverside location. I first visited Egypt Mill when we had an early dinner. I went for a safe choice Deep-Fried Haddock in Crispy Beer Batter served with Gastro Chunky Chips,Garden Peas and Tartare Sauce. It was yummy indeed. The food was great and the garden view was spectacular under the parasol enjoying the river sound and a tiny waterfall feature in a sunny afternoon it was lovely indeed.
This time around went there for a proper evening meal. We settle for a cider drink while waiting for our table, we decided to go to the garden terrace. It was drizzling but the terrace was equiped with steel cast iron wooden fireplace. It was nice and cozy, what a way to enjoy a nice and cold pear cider.
After 30 minutes waiting we went inside just in time our table was ready. The menu has a delightful aray of food choices. For starter we ordered Garlic bread and Nachos topped with sourcream, tomato salsa and melted cheese, was abit disappointed there's no jalapeño in it but other wise it's ok. Main meal was Dou of pork which is fillet of pork with sage and bacon, slow roasted belly pork, smoke bacon medley in red wine jus served with pea and cheddar mash. The pork fillet was delicious and the roast belly pork was so tender the only thing missing was the crackling, to total it all it was a delectable dinner meal with a nice view and good company. What a lovely evening.

Its Carribean Night
It's Friday night and time for food adventure. Carribean night sampling some exotic food. For the starter I ordered Marinades Jerk Chicken Roti which is a pieces of Jerk Chicken with Peppers and Onions in hot spicy Jamaican Jerk Sauce and wrapped in a warm Chakki Roti Bread. For main course I've choose Curry Goat a traditional Caribbean dish pieces of Goats leg and shoulder, some still on the bone, has been seasoned with a special blend of Caribbean curry spices and slowly cooked in the dutch pot until rich and tender, served with Sauteed Mixed Vegetables and Rice & Peas. For dessert homemade treacle tart with rich vanilla ice cream. Washed away with lovely Pinot Grigio Rosé and Lanson champagne . It's was a scrumptious meal and nice catch up with the girls.
